You’ll want to wear mega-comfy Vans Rata Vulc Shoe everywhere from secluded shorebreaks to the supermarket. The flexible vulcanized rubber sole provides enough grip to get the job done, with enough flexibility to stuff into a backpack. A reverse-waffle texture on the EVA-molded sock liner offers low-volume cushioning, and the machine-washable upper lets you fight the inevitable funk caused by shoving your bare, wet feet into sneakers.
Bottom Line:
You need all the ammo you can get in the war against swamp-foot.
I've had a few Vans before and I will say that these are quite different. The shoes are unlike the Eras or Authentics, which I like. They fit nicely except for the fact that the heels are not very supported. Before you wear them in, taking a long stride can knock the heel right off. I got the Ombre colorway and I just want to say, if you're getting these shoes, get them in the Ombre style. The colors really complement each other without being too flashy. The shoes are real head-turners, but aren't over the top. If you are planning on getting a pair of shoes for the summer or spring, I would suggest these.

The Rata Vulc by Vans runs true to size. If you like a good fit buy your size but if you want them a little loose and room for socks go up a half size.
Hello Hemp, welcome to Vans. Vans thank you for your utmost dankness and comfortability. Hemp, just thank you. These shoes are so light, comfortable, and easy to wear its like riding an ocean of air.
These are really light and are more like sandals than shoes. They are cut really low. I do really like them but from the pictures I thought the laces were stretchable and that you didn't need to tie them, but they are just regular laces. You don't need to wear the laces though. Not quite what I expected but I still really like them. The brown color ones are sick.
These are perfect for their intended use - chillin. They're not designed to skate in. I have the hemp pair and never wear them with socks. They've broken in nicely and don't stink surprisingly. I wear an 8 or 8.5 in most shoes... went with an 8 in these and love them - perfect fit.
picked up these shoes last summer, really light weight and perfect for the beach and chillin'. ended up at the skate park a few times with out my skate shoes and used these, super comfortable with a metric shit ton of board feel but after two sessions they started to separate at the heel. I will definitely purchase these shoes again since they feel more like sandals and are perfect for cruising to the beach when the asphalt is to damn hot to walkdown barefoot. its kinda like a shoe sandal.
Why the size 8.5 is 46,36? Are you sure of that? I think that you are wrong because 8,5 is 42 i think....Can you confirm that size plis because I would like to buy this shoes (aloha)
These shoes are great: run true to size, form very well to the shape of your foot (due to the 100% hemp upper), and have amazing ground/board feel. The one downside to these shoes is their durability. From two months of light skateboarding to and from class without any street or park skating, just light ollies here and there, these shoes have been pretty worn. Given, they are not meant for skating; Vans could have done a little better with the durability. That being said, they are still my favorite shoes to date and I will continue to order them until they are phased out.
A little tight at first. After a couple of times slipping it on and off you get the hang of it and after about a week of breaking it in it's super easy to do. Super comfy and pretty bangin. Lots of positive comments from others when I walk in the room.
These shoes are great and I get a lot of compliments on them. Super comfortable, cool style, and simple design so they look good with mostly anything. The sole insert is the kind of foam that doesn't stink if your feet sweat, like Crocs, so it's cool if you want to rock them without socks. The ONLY problem is the hemp is a little weak, and it started to tear around the heel where it meets with the rubber, but that happens to most of my shoes. Good deal on dogfunk though.
great shoe... the most comfortable vans out there (coming from a long time authentic and era wearer). Footbed is very similar to Sanuks. My only complaint is they started smelling pretty awful pretty soon rocking them with no socks everyday
