The North Face Verto Wind Jacket - Women's

Item # TNF5875

Get ready to have everything you think possible with a wind jacket turned inside-out by the new The North Face Verto Jacket. Weighing a near-impossible 2.4 ounces, this wind- and water-resistant hooded jacket packs down to the size (and weight) of an energy bar for easy transportation in your pack or even clipped to your harness with a carabiner. The key is Pertex Quantum, the lightest fabric ever used in a Summit Series piece, which cuts the wind and resists rain during your alpine pursuits while breathing for maximum comfort. The North Face designed the Verto to cleverly pack into its sleeve pocket for complete portability, so you're never without shelter in a storm, no matter how light you travel.

Bottom Line:

An amazing addition to the Summit Series collection.

Cool Jacket

This is a really cool jacket, however I was looking for something that's a little more water proof that this, since this jacket is only water-resistant. It's cool fabric and it folds into the arm pocket which is super small.

I love this jacket, and I bring it everywhere. Warms you up fast, but not too warm on a windy day. So light there's no excuse for not having it on you at all times.

An essential piece of ultralight clothing

I was looking for a super lightweight women's wind jacket for a while (most others I found were 5 oz +). The Verto did not disappoint. It's just a great little jacket to pull on on summer trips when the breeze picks up. I haven't gotten to test it in major wind yet, but will update when I do. It breathes as well as a true wind jacket should, and the fact that you get a hood for this weight is pretty awesome. And the pertex quantum material is really cool - very silky.

Only drawback is the silver (which is really more of a gray - not too shiny) makes you look a bit like space girl in the forest....Neither of the colors the Verto comes in are very earthy - they're more like ski colors, but I guess the Verto will come in handy this winter too :)

In sum, best women's wind jacket I've found - worth the extra money.

An awesome rain / wind jacket

I love this very light weight, packable, do anything jacket. I live in the south and we have had some very hot humid, wet days. This jacket has been awesome at keeping me dry and warm when I enter a building with very cold A/C. Fits true to size like any other North Face jacket. The purple/fushia color is beautiful.

I purchased this jacket as an emergency pack light jacket for rain- but I ended up using it at the summit since I was dripping with sweat it kept me from getting too chilled. Worked as expected. The only downfall of this piece is that it's see through so i feel like im rocking some techy garbage bag. Whatever works.

Verto wind jacket is a lifesaver!

I brought this jacket on a bike trip down in Moab- it looked super sunny and I never thought I'd need it. BUT it packs so small and light that I figured it couldn't hurt. About 4 hours into the ride, I saw the storm on the horizon and threw the jacket on and continued on my ride comfortably and protected. I won't leave home without it again!
