This vest is really cute, however, it's not even remotely true to size. It runs really really small. Also, the hood it huge! The hood doesn't look right while it's on, and it does not attach to the vest very well. Save your money on this one.

I'm very happy to receive the Cherry Stain Brown vest, the pockets have nice fleece lining (extra touch)
I do believe this vest runs small - so I'm very glad I ordered a size up from what I normally order.
I've gotten lots of compliments on this vest! I'm happy for the vest-

This is a really good way to go. You might also check out the heavier down vests from Mountain Hardwear. They're wicked warm too!Hope that helps.

This vest is perfect for climates where the weather is constantly changing. You can layer it under or over a fleece, you can take off the fur lining in precipitation - it's very versatile and cute.

just got this for half the price in a random store in europe. i'm a usually an xs in NF stuff (metropolis jacket, other thin down vest) but the xs and small were super weirdly small so i got the med.

i really like it but the fit is just not there. when it's zipped up all the way it chokes me, and it slips around all over the place. i have to wear a thick sweater with some texture to keep it in place.

i would probably wait for a good sale and get it for style only.

if i question whether to size up or down, usually i size up on a piece i will zip all the way as i hate to feel choked! i get tempted by a size small for less bulk but for that simple neck room i go medium.

one way i judge how rad a piece is is how quickly one of my friends poach it...this vest was gone the first day...borrowed by a friend that follows style and function to a fault. she wont quite give it back and i still miss it from the first try on. sure proof that it is an absolutely fabulous vest!

I recently purchased the North Face Vegas Vest and absolutely love it! It is very warm and I love the fact that there is fur inside of the pockets! It is so nice to have a hood and not to always have to rely on wearing a hat. This hood is cute with the fur and nice that you can zipper off the fur to wash the jacket. I would normally wear a M, but opted to go up to the large to wear over sweaters etc and it fits perfectly. I have already received so many compliments on it! I would definitely recommend this product and recommend purchasing from Back Country.

Hi! Can you tell me the approx. backlength of a size medium Vegas vest? I am longwaisted...worried that it might be too short?

If you're long-waisted I wouldn't reccomend this vest at all. I've got a long torso and the pockets sit high on this thing and it looks goofy. Hence, the return. Ususally TNF carries longer lengths but this is one of the few exceptions.

This vest is adorable. But, unfortunately it's also very short. And the hood looks funky, like it's way too big for the vest. I love the idea of the vest, but for a tall girl, it's just not gonna work.

True, it does run a little short and the hood is a little larger than it needs to be, I'm willing to sacrifice for the "pretty-factor"..and the price was right!

I LOVE this vest!!!

This is the cutest vest EVER. I LOVE how the fur zips off, though I kind of wish the whole hood zipped off. The elastic backing is awesome and it is so comfortable. It does run small -- I wear a size M in all my other TNF stuff, but I took a L in this -- but it is a super cute vest, especially in the Cherry Stain color. Totally edgy and adorable...I love it.

Awesome vest. Perfect for layering and keeping your core warm while allowing maximum movement of the upper limbs, aka, arms. The fur is detatchable, which is nice if you don't feel like offending PITA on any given day. Great transition piece -- can rock it in the fall, winter, and spring.
