I have had these for one winter season now. My only real concern is the stiffness of the material, that it changes the way you walk, from full flexibility, to almost having an alpine ski boot on, you tend to not be able to bend at ankle very well. I am sure that will cease after I have had them for a few seasons. The kept my feet very very warm. The lacing system is very quick, and if you take them off, the laces stay put, and you dont tend to be walking on them in the snow, for one of those middle of the night "nature calls"

I was wondering how rigid these boots are? I'm looking for something that is flexible, warm, and water resistant for getting around in the mountains and will stop me from walking home with two ice cubs instead of feet. Recommendations or feedback about that?

I have had 3 foot surgeries and North Face is the only boot I have found to give me the support and comfort I require for my ankle. I reccomend these boots to anyone that needs comfort and dependability over the long haul! Awesome boot in my book!

I was looking to buy these shoes for my son, but not sure how the sizing goes. I know he wears a Size US10 in Puma and a US9.5 in Nike sneakers. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I bought these in December 2011 and haven't had any regret since then. They are the most comfortable, light-weight boots I've ever worn.
If you're putting on a size 10 & want to be comfortable I suggest you get a size 11(ofcourse this depends on your feet).
can you get these boots in any other color besides black. i

The M's Slot WP are made in two color options...Black/Zinc Grey and Demitasse Brown/Twine Brown.
W's Slot WP only comes in Demitasse Brown/Orchid Purple.
Hope this helps!!

I have had all kinds of boots and these are literally the most comfortable I have ever worn...they are like gloves for your feet and the bottoms have an insane bite in the snow...no sliding around here.
A little more active than the average

Got these for my man. He needed a hiking boot, but for winter. These are great, but if you are in super cold or not active while out in it they may come up a little on the under insulated side.
