You're wearing your favorite plaid shorts but it's a bit chilly outside. No worries—The North Face Men's Logo Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt is one solid color, and only has a small logo adorning the front. This means you can wear a comfy, soft cotton / poly hoody with your colorfully patterned pantalones--without making a disastrous fashion statement. Front pockets and a hood on The North Face sweatshirt help fend off cold breezes.
It was shipped quick (even at Christmas time). I was stoked and worn it the next day. It was the perfect hoodie.
Then, my fiancé washed and dried it. It's 80% cotton and it shrank a lot. I'm 6'2", ordered an XL, and after the first wash the arms look like 3/4 length sleeves. I was very sad.
I re-washed it, stretched the sleeves and hung it to air dry. It's not the same, but at least it's closer to wearable. It had the potential to become my favorite. But after the "hoodie shrinkage incident of 2009", it will just be another hoodie in the back of my closet.
This is a great hoodie but not my favorite. I thought the color faded a bit after the first wash but it is still really comfortable and something I will wear for a really long time to come.

I bought this sweatshirt about a month ago and I like it so much I haven't taken it off long enough to wash. I think I'll be wearing this one right into the ground. No doubt a great investment.
When I saw the this product on the website o back country i felt it will be daam good, the I placed black color zipper hoodie online order. Product came on time and I appreciate for that but when saw the color ..I got disappoint because it is not thick/jet black color and it is looks like faded black and gave the dull appearance. But I love north face products.
Hey Manual, this hoodie is not a wind breaker. Wind will go right through this cotton hoodie. If you're looking for a wind breaker, you should look in to the TNF Windwall. http://www.backcountry.com/the-north-face-windwall-1-fleece-jacket-mens
I'm 6 foot Big built 215 lbs. Normally for shirts I'm a L-XL. I ordered the XL and it fit perfect not to tight not to baggy. But I read a review where it said it will shrink a ton. So I placed another order for the XXL and it was baggy when I first took it out of the box. Washed and dried it. It now fits like the XL(pre-wash/drier).
I am a huge fan of north face products I have always felt they make the best quality. But this is a bit hard not as as soft as others I have tried . Material sticks a bit to you when it should be soft .
Is there a large logo on the hood of this jacket? could anybody
Is there a large logo on the hood of this jacket? could anybody send me or show me multiple views of all sides of this jacket via email or post? ku_jaybird33@yahoo.com
Nope, not under 35 degrees. This is a little heavier than a normal sweatshirt. It's a great layer for another jacket to provide a little extra warmth, but all and all, I consider it a 60 degree weather jacket.
very soft sweater, but not that warn, just as the description says ¨you can wear a comfy, soft cotton / poly hoody¨ Backcountry did an excellent shipment quick. Just like I imagined!. i got the light blue one, the color is as you see it on the website. Very nice color to combine.
Excellent Jacket I wear this jacket out snowblowing temperatures in the teens only need a T Shirt under it.Great price for a great jacket.SYRACUSE N.Y.WEATHER.
This is a great hoody. It is great on its own, but it also compatible to zip in to my north face hyvent jacket as a warm hooded addition to a great shell!
True to fit, I'm 6'0" and L fits well on length. 190lbs and fits fine in the body and sleeves also. Great colors, soft fleece. Hood is a little small, but I might have a large head.
Well, after trying to fend my boyfriend off for several months I finally broke down and bought him one. Thanks to the $20 gift cert from backcountry I didn't have to spend as much on him! Yay!! lol So now I have a dark gray and he has a monster blue (interchangeable ownership of course!) These jackets really are great for 45 deg up weather; below that and I switch to the Redpoint.
I'm 5'8" and 200 LB's, I generally wear between a L and XL. I purchased an XL in deep water blue and it might be the best hoodie I've ever purchased. I thought the XL was true to size. Its just roomy enough overall (I hate the slim fit) and the sleeves aren't rediculously long like some of the XL's out there. I haven't washed it yet and have some concerns about shrinkage but my wife said she would wash it in cold and hang dry. I just might buy ever color in this hoodie!
My wife loved my sweatshirt so much, she had to buy her own (Men's small). After a washing, the waist & cuff bands are tight but they loosen up quickly, which I like. They wash well (I've washed 3 x in one month)and are very comfortable.
It just depends on how you like your hoody to fit. If you like em baggy, then I would suggest that you go ahead and get a large. I bought a down jacket from TNF and had to get a small, but I bought this in a medium and it fits tight enough that I can wear the two together, but still be kinda loose.
Like most said, runs small but very comfortable. I got a XXXL but it fits snugger than some XXL under armour stuff I have. I like it baggy, so def get a size over normal if you like it roomy.
Super soft, warm hoody... but it unfortunately runs quite small. I am 6'2", 165. Long and skinny. I ordered an XL and the arms are short, the length of the sweatshirt is just below the belt and it obviously fits quite small. Definitely order a size of two up with this product and you will love it.
Incredibly comfortable, great layer to lounge around in or wander the town. Like others have noted, it does seem to run a little small. I normally wear a medium, and while it fits almost perfectly now, I don't intend to put it through the drier 'cause my girlfriend would end would end up with a new layer. Shhh, pinky swear you won't tell her!
I absolutely love this hoodie. It is really comfy and looks good too. My only complaint is that I have worn it about 8 times now and the inside lining is starting to come off on my shirts. Luckily I got a dark hoodie and my work shirts are dark so it isn't that noticable, but it is annoying.
Well I finally had to break down and wash it after wearing it almost non-stop for 6 months. I was scared to death it would shrink, but luckily I bought it big so now, if anything, it fits better! It didn't shrink more than half a size at most, dried on low heat setting.
i got this for my boyfriend for christmas and he loves it! it's a really nice sweatshirt, very warm. i bought him an extra large, (he normally wears a large), after reading a review that recommended going a size up for a looser fit. i am definitely glad i did too, it fits perfect.
I really like the pockets. They not only keep my hands warm, but allow me to keep a few small items stowed while I do my daily runnings. And..most importantly, it matches my sneakers.
Got this delivered to me the other day and am sending it back. It didn't fit right and seemed a little small. I'm 6'2" and 210 and usually wear an XL. Also, for some reason Backcountry is charging $49.99 for it when the price on the price tag is $45.00. The NF tag says suggested retail price $45.00. The bag it was stored in also had a price of $45. I got on the Live Chat and was told "I don't know what you want me to do about it." Disappointing after several good experiences.
my boyfriend lost his brown fleece north face and so i surprised him with the olive color one because the brown was out of stock. he loves it and it's very soft and comfy and fits well. definitely a good buy!
This hoodie is made from the softest combination of materials ever... The moment I put it on I knew I was going to have a hard time taking it off, it is super comfy! If you want an all around lounge jacket, I think this fits perfectly for the task.
