The North Face Hedgefrog Technical Sandal - Women's - 2010

The North Face Hedgefrog Technical Sandal - Women's - 2010 BCS

Item # TNF5126

It\342\200\231s hard to find a sandal you can truly hike in\342\200\224a sandal that provides all the benefits of a hiking shoe, plus airflow and water drainage. That\342\200\231s why The North Face Women\342\200\231s Hedgehog Technical Sandal is so impressive. This kind of wet/dry performance doesn\342\200\231t come around every day.

  • Water-friendly synthetic nubuck and stretch mesh upper conforms to your feet and dries easily after a stream-wading session
  • Hydrophobic SBR lining won’t stay soggy
  • Quick-pull lace-lock system lets you adjust and set out on the trail with minimal fuss
  • Compression-molded EVA midsole and HydroTrak sticky rubber outsole combine cushioning with excellent traction

Bottom Line:

An excellent compromise between shoe and sandal\342\200\224without compromising on performance.

Amazing, and a great deal!

I have been putting off buying a pair of shoes like these for too long, because I could usually only find the Keens, which are way overpriced. I have worn my friend's Keens, and I honestly wasn't that impressed with them.
I bought these on SAC, and I absolutely love them! I wanted something I could hike in all day, and have no problem getting soaking wet, if that is where my trail led me. They have both the water feature, as well as amazing support for all day hiking.
Fits true to size.

the fit is great but the laces not so much

I bought these off SAC a few months ago and have been hiking in them for the summer. They are really comfortable and hardly let any rocks or pebbles in. I normally wear teva sandals but thought I would try the closed toe. Now for the bad news, after only a couple months the laces won't stay tight. I have to pull them tight every couple minutes, not what you want when you are hiking. They are not of much use if you can't keep them tight.
