The North Face Diez Pullover Down Jacket - Men's - 2011

The North Face Diez Pullover Down Jacket - Men's - 2011 BCS

Item # TNF6776

Frigid alpine weather might put your cotton hoody in its place, but it won't stop the The North Face Men's Diez Pullover Down Jacket. An alpine fit keeps this 900-fill goose down jacket close to your body and elastic bound cuffs keep chilly drafts from creeping up your sleeves. Designed to pack into it's own pocket, this lightweight jacket easily stashes in your pack for emergencies or times when you beat your crew to the summit and you have to do some waiting in the cold.

  • Pertex fabric is lightweight, packable, and abrasion resistant
  • DWR-coating helps the fabric repel light precipitation and moisture
  • Hideaway hem cinch cord locks this jacket down at your waist to eliminate chilly drafts

Bottom Line:

Ultimate warmth so you can fight the freeze.

Love the extreme lightness and smooth fabric. Quite warm for it's weight, too.

I wish people on here would use their gear before writing a review. I HAVE USED this coat for almost two months now for my go to insulation for ultralight backpacking. In camp with a medium base layer I feel it is very warm and have not had a problem dipping down into the low 20's with this coat. I know the quality is even better than the past seasons model that I also have only because this one is 900 fill. I have almost all other big name brands and I trust my life on this coat when in the Wyoming wilderness (also it's so good I had to get one for my old man too....happy fathers day. Lol)

Not really warm

By:
March 27, 2012

Returned because it wasn't really warm enough
Down is not very even; right arm had barely any down, left arm filled much more

Very packable and extremely light, but the lack of warmth probably due to the low amount of down and placement of down forced me to return it and find an alternative

However, it fit extremely well, was very comfortable, light, packable, and the stitching was typical north face superb.

I'll start by saying I don't usually go for TNF products, but this jackets weight, shell material and down fill power caught my eye. First off it is practically the same fill weight as the full zip and it weighs a good 5 oz lighter. The stitching on the seams looks strong and well done. Having hand warmer pockets is a plus! I am testing it this weekend on a 30+ mile high peaks hike in NY with temps dipping into the low 30's possibly high 20's. A field test review coming soon.
