The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket - Toddler Boys'

Item # TNF5753

When it comes to your little monster’s (and by monster, we mean little angel) warmth, don’t settle for second best. Wrap his upper body in the super-cozy and ultra-warm The North Face Toddler Boys’ Denali Fleece Jacket.

  • Polartec polyester is a heavyweight fleece made from 100% recycled materials
  • Kid-friendly EZ Zip zipper can be inserted at an angle and rotated into the vertical position—helps your little man eventually learn to do the zipping on his own
  • 2-Ply nylon panels line the shoulders, chest, and elbows to resist abrasion and block wind
  • Hem and cuffs are bound with elastic to seal out wind

Bottom Line:

Just like dad's, but really, really small.

My little guy (3yo) loves it!

Just ordered this fleece for the upcoming Fall season, tried it on my 3 year old son and he didn't want to take it off, despite the 90+ degree weather outside. It was comfortable for him, and a great fit, quality and price for me. Loooking forward to many adventures in this!

Try it and you won't regret the purchase

This is a great jacket for a busy toddler boy because the jacket does not get dirty easily - somethig about it that you can shake off lots of dirt from the jacket so my son can keep wearing it wihout having to wash the jacket often (and my son is a dirt lover); and when it's time to wash, the color does not fade and the texture does not change much (sure it becomes less new looking after being washed many times but compared to other cheaper fleece it keeps the look amazingly well wash after wash); absolutely no shrinkage (warm water gentle cycle and hang to dry). The jacket is very useful because it's pretty weather resistant - you can wear it in the rain (although it is NOT a rain coat so you would't just put it on and stand outside in a downpour but can handle drizzles when you're walking to your car in the parking lot without an umbrella, etc.) or snow (again it's not a snowsuit so it's not for hours of play in the snow). It's light weight so it does not weigh my son down. The zippers are well made and does not get stuck easily and even my 3 year old can zip up himself so it's great for school. Needless to stay it's pretty warm (warmest it can be as a fleece jacket) and so those of us who live in the Midwest basically can use this jacket 9 months out of a year!

The only other thing I need to mention is that I find TNF toddler sizes to be on a smaller side so my 36 months old who is petite (25th percentile) who can still wear 2T jackets is fitting nicely into TNF 3T jackets. I recently bought a TNF 4T down jacket for him and surprisingly he is not swimming in it so make sure to size up.

Try the jacket and you won't regret getting it!

I am moving to Toronto Ontario from Brisbane Australia. I have a 2 year old boy and a 6 month old girl. What clothes would be best for them for the T.O winter? Any particular items/necessities should I get?

It is not all that cold in Toronto. I live pretty close to it. Of course we have our days, but the coldest you are likely to see in a normal Toronto Winter is about -10 c, without windchill. It gets damp here during winter with a few mid season thaws, so I would say, a good heavyweight softshell, would do you for most days. The little ones of course you will probably want snow pants and a good pair of boots, but most of the winter I get along just fine with a NF softshell and a good pair of running shoes

Just what I was looking for!

By:
September 3, 2011

I bought 2 of these for my 2 and 4 year old boys. They are great, just like the adult version (and a great price!). The only comment I have is they run true to size/a tad small. My boys are small for their ages and fit in the size that corresponds to their ages. For my first order I went by the size chart and ordered too small. Thank goodness for free shipping!

Great little jacket!

By:
April 14, 2012

I love these jackets for my son when it is not snowing in Michigan he is pretty much in it most of the winter fall and spring. Much easier than trying to stuff those puffy coats in the carseats. My son wore the 2t starting when he was about 17months was a little big in him but he is a solid little boy. After washing it so many times I feel like he might be closer to needing the 3t now and is almost 2 yrs old. But absolutely love this coat and backcountry is absolutely a pleasure to buy from!

Purchased this little jacket for my nephew and it's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen. He loves it and it's great in all weather conditions. Best purchase in quite some time.

Dad got me the green one. The cut it just right. I think I'm quite dapper in it. Being Polartec 300, it's very warm. I rate it.

I find the toddler version of these jackets to run a tad small. My son wore a 2T last year while he was in 18/24 clothes. He is a 2T now and I bought him a 3T in the Jacket. He has a little room for growth but, not much.

What size does he normally wear and what size did you buy? We're in mostly 2T but I was going to go for a 3T for fall/winter since they grow like vines.

Great Jacket!

I'm so happy this was finally released in toddlers sizes. Everyone in my family has at least one, but most of have 2 or 3, my husband, 8 yr old, 6 yr old, 3 yr old, and now the 2 yr old. Great fit and since I bought it towards the end of the season it was also a great price. Very pleased!

Great!

I actually bought this jacket for my 2 year old daughter....I wanted her to have black! I really love this little jacket. It is very durable, and seems to keep her very warm! I like that she can stay warm without have a big bulky coat on... If I had to pick something wrong...all I could say is that might run just a little small? But in my experience most North Face run just a hair small. Overall, I am VERY pleased! :)
