The North Face Chilkats Boot - Girls'
The North Face Girls' Chilkats Winter Boot will be your kid's favorite--and it's not surprising, given the boot's super-sturdy construction and versatility in any cold or wet weather. A contrasting cuff adds major cuteness points.
- TNF Winter Grip soles provide reliable traction on slush and ice
- Full TPU shank gives added protection against rugged ground
- Heatshield synthetic insulation keeps young feet toasty even in sub-zero temps
- Dri-lex fleece in the collar and tongue add extra warmth and dry quickly
- High cut cuff keeps snow and slush out

I'm considering the chilkats brownie/luminous yellow for my 14 year old daughter. The colors look OK on my screen but the description "luminous yellow" sounds really bright. Is the trim really bright? the plaid looks brown and beige on my computer screen -- what is luminous yellow? the plaid, or maybe just the logo?

Hello - the yellow is in the plaid and in the logo. It isn't a super bright yellow, and does look close to the photo that is shown.
Hope this helps

What is the difference between the women's chilkats and the girls and boys? They seem to look the same, but there's a big difference in price.

I wear a size 5 in women's shoes and bought size 3 in girls'. If you can fit a 5.5/6 in women's, then you might want to get the 4 in girls' so that you can wear thicker socks. I had to walk up several flights of ice-lined stairs to the front door of the cabin, and these boots have enough traction. I felt safer than previous years in my tennis shoes.
