Sunline V1 XC Stem - 2010 BCS

Item # SNL0016

Hit your trail-riding XC rig up with the lightweight Sunline V1 XC Stem. Moto knowhow makes this CNC’d handlebar receptor strong enough for all-mountain clowning around. The chamfered clamping edges prevent stress risers on carbon bars, while the four-bolt faceplate distributes clamping force equally to the bars so you can worry about nailing that rock-infested line without second-guessing your gear.

Bottom Line:

Strong enough for AM, light enough for XC.

Light and Creaky

By:

If you're looking for the lightest XC stem you can find then look no further because Sunline nailed it. It was advertised at 122 grams and I weighed the 90mm stem in at 121 grams. Probably not going to find anything lighter and stronger and these offer superb tracking on my SS 29er. However, the color doesn't match the cool titanium brushed look of the V1 745 handlebar that I bought and I haven't been able to get rid of the last little bit of creakiness that this exhibit. I tightened up to spec with a torque wrench and even went one Nm further, still a little creaking on steep uphills when I'm standing on my SS bike. That is an extreme situation though and on a geared bike these should be just fine.
