Sugoi Hatha Short - Women's

Item # SUG0111

The Sugoi Women's Hatha Shorts give you the comfort to get in touch with your running Chi. As you get into your rhythm, these performance shorts create a non-binding and flowy feel with their stretchy, slim fit and looser-fitting legs. A low rise and a wide, moisture-wicking waistband prevent the Hatha Shorts from rising and keep you dry and comfortable. Sugoi included an inside pocket so you don't have to stash your key in the bushes.

Bottom Line:

The Sugoi Hatha Shorts take advantage of a dynamic fit and moisture-wicking fabric to take you towards running enlightenment.

comfortable, fits nice, not too long or short. Bought on sales, so impressed for the price I paid.

not cute but functional

Instead of having a straight seam in the crotch they have sewn in a little spacer. This little detail made the short look a little odd on me. But I think it will be well suited for someone with skinny upper thighs.

The short themselves are a nice length, and the material is really soft, does not chaffe for long runs, and wicks away moisture well.

Can you fold these shorts over at the waist? I like a low rise

Can you fold these shorts over at the waist? I like a low rise short sometimes and don't mind folding them down once so they ride lower on my-- under my tummy. Plus, I'm pregnant now and would love a pair of comfortable shorts for exercising that I can wear below the tummy.

Feel good, but have problems

By:
June 29, 2007

I was really excited that I might have found the perfect running short. I haven't.
The are soft and might be good for hanging around the house or for Yoga if you like doing Yoga in shorts. But when running or walking in them, they ride up.
It may be that I should have bought a medium becase they are very loose. But when using the measurements on the site, I had to go with large. Soft and pretty, but not practical for me for running.

not the most flattering shorts

By:
October 17, 2008

I'm a smaller person, and these just did not look flattering from any angle at all. Too bad. The fabric seemed pretty comfy. They'd be good for yoga, but I agree, they seem like they'd ride up while running or hiking. Too snug up top, too lose near the bottom.

Sugoi Hatha Short

By:

I have two pairs of Hatha shorts already which are 2-3 years old and I love them for my gym workouts. They fit closely over the butt and loosely at the hips/thigh which is a nice design if you don't like a biker style workout short which hugs your everything. I wouldn't suggest them for outdoor running or cycling.
I am 5ft 4in, size 4 and wear Sugoi size small.
The new pair i just received has some pooching at the side seaming which I suppose is a manufacturing flaw in Malaysia. My old pairs were produced in Vancouver. Hmmm. I will be returning the new ones.

Good for wearing around the house. Very comfortable to sleep in as well. Looks flattering. I would not recommend for running or cycling, but should be fine for walking and yoga.

I HAVE 3 PAIR OF THE SHORTS TWO IN BLACK AND ONE IN BROWN. THEY DO RIDE UP A LITTLE WHEN JAZZERCIZING, I DO A LOT OF MOVES AND IE SEEMS THAT ON THE INNER LEFT SIDE OF INSIDE LEG IT RIDES UP. IAM CONSTANTLY ADJUSTING, WISH THEY WERE A LITTLE LONGER BY MAYBE 1 OR 2 INCHES. THE WAIST BAND
IS VERY COMFORTABLE, MATERIAL EXCELLANT DRIES VERY FAST, BY THE TIME I GET IN FROM WORKING OUT THERE DRY. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON SPORTS BRAS WITH HIGH IMPACT WORKOUT 34DDD. I HAVE TWO SPORTS BRAS ONE FROM MOVING IN COMFORT OK!, AND THE OTHER IS FROM ANITA NOT SPORT LOOKING,SUPPORT IS FINE LOOKING FOR SEXIER AND EXCELLENT SUPPORT. I GIVE THEM A 4 STAR

You should try Enell sports bra. It clips up the center front. I am the same size as you. It will feel tight at the bottom of your rib cage but takes all the weight off your shoulders. I just wish Backcountry sold them!
