Item # SIC0048

Let\\222s see \\205 When would be a great time to have the Stoic Men\\222s Merino Crew Short-Sleeve Shirt in your pack? If the day calls for a sunset hike, ridgeline backpacking foray, cross-country mountain bike ride, trad climb, trail run, or even a ski tour. That\\222s when. Because this merino crew\\222s made with super-soft, fine wool, it won\\222t give you a ruinous case of the scratchies. a little slim

I got the yellow in size XL. Love the color, bold but not bright. I like it, just not love it yet. The fit was a little slimmer than I prefer for summer time. I think it will be perfect for snowboarding in the winter for sure though. Great price too! Thanks D of G!

I wear a small in Ibex, Icebreaker and Ivanhoe so ordered a small in Stoic. Unfortunately the neck and arm holes were much smaller than the other brands and I had to return the item. The wool felt nice and the colors were right though the seems were way too prominent and rough for my taste. I prefer Ibex for the full range of wool thicknesses they offer, the quality of their products, and the fact they are made in America. Icebreaker would be my second choice on quality alone.

Comfy shirt. Fast worn out

By:

This shirt would be perfect if it was more durable. Being on my 3-weeks trip I found out holes at 5th day. The material feels very softy and this shirt would be my favourite unless this accidents.

killer shirt

Wore this while hiking through Arches all day at about 90 degrees. The shirt felt great all day, and I still felt good enough after hiking that I could go out to dinner and not knock every one out as I walked by. Super comfortable, there was no chafing or rubbing. I have used this as a base layer also and it has been fantastic in that aspect as well.

Warm and soft.

By:

Got it, love it. This is definitely a snug fit, not compression. I'm an athletic chick, went with the small, and got a great fit for a lovely shirt I can wear as a base or in public. Soft and non-itchy on me, and just a little extra warmth. Also non-grippy under my PowerStretch; my Ortovox wool sticks to fleece, but not these!

This also feels similar to IceBreaker to me, and a much more agreeable price (especially on SaC! Just ordered two more!). This also has more agreeable cut and assembly, and looks less "technical" than the IceBreaker I tried.

Armholes too tight

By:
November 16, 2011

Fit is nice and trim (I'm skinny) but the armholes are too tight. And I have no, repeat no, upper body. Do most people size up? Wool seemed to be of decent quality, but not luxurious.
