Stoic Bombshell Bib - Men's - 2009 BCS

Item # SIC0022

Whether you’re heading for Wasatch depths or Alps gnar, the waterproof breathable Stoic Bombshell Bib wields comfort and fit like Nature wields her elements. Fully-welded construction paired with mechanical stretch fabric creates a dynamic storm fortress that won’t inhibit movement, and the removable softshell bib offers options for changing conditions. Lock down the zippered gaiters when the day looks deep, and bust open the mesh-backed inner-thigh vents when it’s time to hike that line for one more ride. The Bombshell Bib’s Keprotech-reinforcements stand up to ski edges, crampons, and rock out cropping, and the bib suspenders adjust for deep or shallow days and the waist tabs offer another line of customization. These bibs love everything from hiking to riding the lifts, so Stoic’s 3-D ergonomic fit creates plenty of moving room for boot packing and skinning, without weighing you down in fabric.

So, I like everything I'm seeing on the specs of the bib, but one major thing I'd like to know about is this "welded seams" business. Is that comparable to "fully seamed?" Because if not, I'm not really sure that the 20k waterproof rating means anything.. Hopefully someone can fill me in
Thanks

I hope you have an answer to this already, but for anyone still wondering... Welding seams is the best way to bond the material for purpose of waterproofing.

5' 11" 185-190 and the large are perfect. I got the black with neon green zips off of Brociety (long may it rest in peace). Okay So you shouldn't probably ski up to the snowboarding kids in the pipe and proudly say "check out my new bibs". The style is def old school and you will get the pos feedback you seek from the more mature crowd. But hey, the quality is outstanding. Great pow pants to add to the quiver, I use these on deep powder days. Someone said they feel like gore tex. True they do. Wait for it on SAC or whiskey miliita and steal them.
