Slap on the Spy Soldier Goggles and scout a safe route through snow-man's land. The Soldier delivers a flexible fit and fog-free vision so you can unleash the badness with crystal-clear vision. Spy's Scoop ventilation and Gemini dual-lens technology eliminate lens fogging so you can spot the drop zone even in the gnarliest weather. Anti-fog and anti-scratch coating keep you glued to your mission, and total UV protection saves your eyes for life after the force. Triple-layer foam and moisture-wicking fleece feel so good against your face, you may end up wearing these goggles off the base.
Great peripheral vision and the foam is really comfortable, no pressure points. They don't fog up either. Plus they also look awesome, I'm really happy with my soldiers!
These goggles are crazy good. The performance is un-matched and is one of the best goggles in the spy line-up(hence why it keeps coming back year after year). Perripheral vision is clear as day, and they never fog up. I have a slimmer face and they fit like a glove, and never bother me or move around on my face. Super cush foam and never gets itchy even after bailing on a 30ft drop to a pow sandwich in the face and goggles flying everywhere haha. Really if you want a goggle that is supposed to do everything and be everything you want them to be.... Then get these, you will NOT be dissapointed
Does anyone know if these or some similar googles will fit over
Does anyone know if these or some similar googles will fit over glasses. I see it says they wont but alot of googles say that and then they do fit over glasses.
I was in love with these goggles as soon as I got them in the mail.. they fit perfect, look sick, feel very well made.. all in all there's not one bad part about them.
Super sick goggles! Mirrored lenses are amazing i have a smaller head and they fit perfect couldnt ask for a better goggle! super comfy, work with my helmet
i love these goggles, own a pair dark lens. I am looking for
i love these goggles, own a pair dark lens. I am looking for a best all round lens color for a second pair. I'm torn between the persimmon and the Salmon Blue spectra...any thoughts which is best. help!
I would say that the persimmon lens is probably your best bet, for an all-purpose lens. It has a high contrast for low or flat light, and still blocks enough for medium bright days. The Blue Spectra does cut glare, but if the sun is bright enough to glare bad enough for that to be necessary in a low light level lens, just switch out to the dark one you already have.
These goggles are the BEST out there. I own several pairs with different lenses, Rose/mirror is my favorite for Bright days. Followed by Blue Spectra for all-around and the MFM Signature Black Mirror is tight! These goggles REALLY allow for distortion free wide vision (NO BLIND SPOTS).
The soldiers will fit that bern helmet super good. The goggles as well as the helmet have a good field of vision and will work well together. It would be a good set up overall
best goggle i have ever worn, you get the "fishbowl" spherical vision looks steezy, very durable goggles. overall one of the best, alongside the electric eg2, dragon rogue
Great all around goggles. They are a tiny bit too tall for my face and for my berns baker helmet and a little bit of pressure ends up going on my nose. Its not bad, just something to be aware of if fit is a concern or if you have a smaller head.
There are two Asphalt Matte Black Bronze Spy Goggles listed.
There are two Asphalt Matte Black Bronze Spy Goggles listed. One for $80.96. A second is listed that says w/silver mirror for $103.46. Does that mean a second lens is included or that the bronze lens is silver mirrored???
These goggles look and perform great! They feel a little cheap, but they're so much lighter than my last pair of spy goggles that it's worth it. No fog and no scratches after eating shit off of some booters.
I was out West and these mirrored lenses were perfect for the sunny conditions. Also they are super comfy. I wore them 4 days straight. The padding on them is great. I highly recommend them! Also - this site is a bargain, I checked other retailers out and this was the best. Great buy.
Ive had these goggles for 4 years and have put up with anything ive thrown at em. From gnarly crashes on the mountain or crashes at the race track. I still have the ORIGINAL LENS!!!!!! Oh and did i mention that they are the sickest looking goggle on the market. Ill upload a pic of me racing with my Spy Soldiers on.
i wear mine all the time and they fit great. they don't look all that big on your face and the rounded lenses are really nice. they are very durable and look great with almost every helmet style or hat.
I got these in the pop sider and absolutely loveeeeee them! I never would have thought that a nice pair of goggles can make such a huge difference! Size said it's for medium-large head but i'm a female with a pretty average size head and they fit great! Very comfortable and the grip on the bands keep them in place without having to tighten them up too much! Awesome and totally worth every penny!
These goggles are a great looking and performing pair of goggles. They work well with or without a helmet and never have problems fogging up.
They are however not for someone with a narrowface. While they are comfortable, there is a feeling right around the cheekbones that they are not full sealed. If you have a narrow face and you need to have a pair of goggles that fits extremely tight around your face ,the Oakley a-frames are a better choice.
Nevertheless, i switch between soldiers/aframes regularly and love both of them!
Has anybody heard anything bad about these. I'm comparing
Has anybody heard anything bad about these. I'm comparing them to the anon realm and smith prodigy and really can't decide. The spy has the best price I'm just wondering how it will hold up on the mountain and many years to come.
i disagree with the above answer. i used the soldiers all winter last year and they never fogged... actually they were my favorite goggle and would definitely get another pair. i took them thru any kind of condition there is and they were crystal clear all winter. They're a good buy - get em!
way way way too small for my tatse, and spy goggles fog really bad and dont unfog for a long time...and no matter what you get if you buy it here then it comes with an ulimited uconditioal return policy so you can return them if they dont hold up
These goggles are hands down the best that I have ever owned! They look amazing and they function great as well (no fogging and they are very comfortable). I purchased the Asphalt-Matte with blue spectra mirror lenses and they look incredible, especialy in the sun. The reason why I'm not giving them five stars is that they cost so freakin' much and when I tryed to use them with my snowmobile helmet there was a little air gap in the top where the goggles didn't quite touch my face. This was no biggie though because I have an older pair of Spy Targas that fit my helmet just fine. overall these goggles are great and work superbly in all lighting conditions. I recommend them and I'm sure that you will be as stoked about them as I am.
I bought these goggles in 2009, and thus far have been extremely satisfied. Peripheral vision is great. Fit wise, I have a narrow nose and face and find the frame fits comfortably and still provides a solid seal. Venting is great and fogging has been non-existent, even on slow, lazy days at the hill. The bronze lenses work great in sunny to party sunny conditions, however I find they lack in overcast and snow features all but disappear. (this is what the available, interchangeable lenses are for though!) All in all a great pair of goggles!
I'm Asian and I would say I have a small face. These goggles are a perfect fit. I love how it's vented so there isn't any fogging unlike other googles (trust me, it makes a huge difference). It has all day comfort, and is one of the best looking goggles I've ever come across. At this price, it's a steal. Buy them
Not really, but if I was, my Soldiers would look cooler. Sometimes I think these look sort of like those Geax watersport-sunglass-goggles on my bigger face, and would probably best suit someone with a small to medium face. Only very slight fogging issue, very comfortable, fairly durable, and the hinged strap fixture is awesome. Under $75 would be a fair price.
I have not had the chance to take this nugget for a test run since its summer and all. Although it feels as good as it looks. I got the Gold Fronts-Bronze w/Gold Mirror its a little more bling than I usually go for but if I can rock these you probably can too. They look as amazing and ridiculous in person as they do online. If you are going for aesthetics this is it; otherwise I have not had a chance to test its performance.
16 years on the mountain and I have had Soldiers for 4 of them. Best goggles I have ever owned. Cracked the original lens on the pipe and they still didnt fog
These are a great pair of goggles. Spy makes an awesome product and this is one of them. In 5 years I spent well over $150 buying a brand new cheap pair of goggles right before every season. I finally realized that was stupid and I bought these goggles. I just finished up with my 3rd season with Spy Soldiers and they are still as good as when I got them. They NEVER fog up, they circulate air very nicely, and hold up well through a face plant (trust me, it hurt). Get these goggles. They may seem a little expensive, but you will save time/money/hassle in the long run. Trust me.
Pretty nice goggles. I have a wide face and they are a pretty snug fit, and contrary to what others have said I have had no problems with fogging. Plain and simple, the goggles just worked well and got the job done for me.
One of the best goggles I own, has a sleek cool look and very sturdy. Surprisingly visible at night and even better during the day. Couldn't ask for a better buy!
I bought these as a second pair for my recent trip to Heavenly. They were great and quickly became my go to goggles. Fit snuggly over my Giro Helmet and were great in the cold with no fogging. Had a few issues when using in fresh powder as they got a little damp and fogged with ice forming on the top vents!!
Overall love them, but make sure you try to keep them free of snow on the top vent otherwise you will fog and really hard to de-fog on the top of a mountain with snow blowing.
These goggles are great. I just wore them skiing in co in about every condition imaginable. They worked good in high and low light. Also good when it was snowing. I took a couple of good wipeouts and they seem pretty durable also.
These spy soldier goggles were the first pair of goggles I bought and I freaking love them. I have never had them fogging up on me and I have had them for 4 weeks now! Plus, I had alot of compliments on how bada$$ the goggles looked! And also, the goggles are comfortable as well, molded right onto my face! If you wanna look tight while shredding powder/ice, get these spy soldier goggles now!
got half price for these googles at Sportsbasement in San Francisco. fell in love the very first time I saw it. I have the Black Matte/ Silver Mirror pairs and they are sick! Got a lot of compliments from my buddies and even strangers too. Vision is pretty good and fits well on my face. I suggest that you try them on first before you purchase it since googles are not really one size fits all sort of thing. You may or you may not like it but I LOVE THEM!!! I'm not that good yet at snowboarding but hey I look good on these!!!!
Wasnt impressed with the crowbars (pinched my nose, lenses costly). I love these soldiers though. Persimmon lens is pretty good, lots of contrast. I also bought a yellow lens for flat days, and it works ok but i now want to try the rose shade. LOng live Spy. I'll probably buy another pair with a mirrored bright light lens.
these gogs are sweet on all levels. at first i thought the peripheral vision might not be that good beause the frames are on the smaller side, but they actually wrap enough so that you get great vision to the sides. no fogging issues and the lenses are holding up well.
These Goggles feel as good as they look ...nice padding and good weight ..They are smaller than the average goggle as far as the frame goes but still have good vision no complaints!
The Spy Soldiers are really nice goggles over all. Lots of nice details and big thick foam. Lenses seem to be top notch.
However, there are two issues, one large and one small. These Goggles just didn't fit my face. I don't have a very large face but when I wore these they pushed down on my nose and made it slightly uncomfortable to breath. The real issue was that the goggles are rather narrow and thus needed to stretch around my face.
The other issue is really minor but actually drove me crazy. One of the black plastic strap adjusters is put on backwards. It is also curves and just felt odd as it curved away from my head.
These goggles are sick! The first time I saw them I said I just got to have them. I Thought that these goggles are very stylish and the lense in butiful, nice clear and clean lense. I Especally like the rubber strip of the back of strap, it makes it so the goggles never fall off your helmet. Overall, very nice goggles for the price!! Totaly worth it!
After skiing with these goggles for 2 seasons, I can give them an emphatic 10/10. They fit my average face perfect, look good, stick to my head and they rarely fog up. The foam feels very good against my face.
I've been using the spy soldiers for 3 seasons now, i will not use any other goggle, never had them fog up on me, provide uncompromising vision and clarity the Gemini lens tech and the speherical lens is the shit, not to mention there mad dope stylish too. oozes steeze. I know that they seem expensive, but you get what you pay for!
i'm not really sure why these goggles are rated so high, they actually looked kind of cheap (sloppy plastic molding). i loaned mine to a buddy, third run of the day, he landed on his face and they just broke, the only thing holding the hinges to the frame is a weak piece of plastic; I also have a pair of Spy Targa II's and they're alot nicer, the periferal vision's a little better and they seem to be built better;
The Spy Soldier is simply the Best... Had it on for an all day of boarding and it never fogged up on me... Very light and fits perfectly.... Worth every Penny...
