Thanks to unique graphics on the frame and strap, and a non-distorting lens, the Smith Fuse Goggles give you stand-out style and an accurate view of the slopes. The Fuse Goggles' frame has an angular look and fits medium-size faces. Open the front vents and prevent fogging on your hardcore hikes in the backcountry or as you work up a sweat on the hill. Smith connected the goggle strap to the frame with a lever, so the strap creates a secure, comfortable fit whether you're wearing a helmet or just a ski hat. See the sizing chart to find info on the lens tints.
Ive owned three pairs of Fuses, and I have had zero issues. I love these goggles: the fit, the larger size, and the reliability. If you look around and check tramdock you can often find these in the 40 dollar range. For the price they are unbeatable.
I have last years pair and they are one of my fave goggles! Mine came with true chrome (not see thru) lenses and a bonus amber night lense. The hinged strap is good cause it looks good with or without a helmet. The top of the lense has a little slide lever that slides left and right to open the vents way open or completly closed. Def helps reduce fogging. The fit is great for my med size noggin. No complaints at all with these. I would have been willing to pay over $100 for these!! Get them!!!
I can't choose between the Smith Fuse, Dragon DX, Scott Alias
I can't choose between the Smith Fuse, Dragon DX, Scott Alias and Spy Zed. Which one of these would fit best medium size face? Which has the smallest and largest frame? Could you compare them? I also plan to buy a helmet, so they should work with helmet of size M/L. Thanks
Get the Smith Fuse... They are the best quality and their warranty is second to none!!!! Spy frames are always pretty large... Smith googles always work well with helmets, ESPECIALLY Smith Helmets!!!!
On a budget and looking for a great goggle. Go for the Fuse. Although it doesn't have a spherical lens, you get a great field of vision. The fit is great on these as well for someone with a small to medium size face. Smith has the best ventilation system on the market, and they use this system in their high end goggles and in these as well. These things are pretty stylish too and have great strap/frame graphics.
this is my second pair of these goggles. The vents are great for keeping the fogging down and staying cool. They work well going over a helmet, and i have a big head. They offer pretty good peripheral vision. They just are a goggle that i know are good.
Don't worry about it man. If I saw you in the lift line wearing some Smith Heiress goggles in the South Beach color scheme, I might question your taste, but these ones look sick. Go shred.
The most amazing goggles (white/orange air retro) I'm a guy and thought they might look kinda gay.... But THEY ARE THE SICK GOGGLE DESIGN EVER KNOW TO MANKIND !!!!!! Also they vent well he lens are perfect (sensor mirror) and you get an extra one. They vent well for spring and freezing winters cause you can adjust them for the right ventilation. Support is great and is a must have if you ...
Good Mountaineering Goggles?

Good Mountaineering Goggles?
I am looking for some mountaineering goggles and these looked like a good value, I was just wondering if any of the colors had polarized lenses since that would be a big plus. If not, are there goggles with polarized lenses you would recommend?
I'm not sure what you mean by moutaineering goggles. I'm a heliski guide and use these goggles daily they're awsome. No ski goggle will perform well when you are exerting yourself on a climb, they will all fog up.
Sensor mirror awesome for low light, ignitor mirror great all round. I'm a heliski guide have two pairs one of each lens carry both all the time use the ignitor mirror most days.
These goggles have performed well n a variety of backcountry conditions. From dense fog, to bluebird days they do great in it all. The fit perfectly with my Smith Holt helmet.
These gogs rock! I have the blue mash up pair and not only do i look fresh, but they do the job too! They don't fog up and fit great on the face. Definitely worth the price.
First off these goggles look mad steezy. I had them in black/white photog and got plenty of compliments on the slopes. The sensor mirror does well in low light, that is when they arent fogged up. I never had a pair of goggles fog this much even when i was a grom wearing scotts. Maybe i had a defective pair cus every other reviewer said they dont fog at all. Whatever the case if you care more about form than function these goggles are for you. Sticking with my Von Zipper Feenoms.
5 days at Whistler with varying conditions of sun, fog, and snow, and I loved these goggles for every minute I wore them. Good visibility and no fog in the goggles :)
The sensor lens is my favorite on overcast days when you don't see the sun. For bright sunny days I prefer either the platinum mirror or ignitor mirror. The ignitor mirror lens is great for days when the sun pops in and out of the clouds, choice all around lens...
The price is right. First time I tried blue lenses and they are great in all types of light, especially low light. I have had some fogging issues when putting them on after a big climb. I also like that they are a traditional shape (medium) and are available in normal (read; not kooky) colours. Bottom line; a functional goggle at an affordable price. The free second lens is a bonus. If they're good enough for Greg Hill, they'll probably work for you too.
I bought red mirror with white frame, and I freaking love it. it even came with standard lens too. no fogging issue at all, but I only used it once so i will see.
For the money, you can't go wrong with these. I put well over 200 days on my pair before getting some Oakley Seth Morrison Crowbars. The Smith's were still fine after much abuse, but I just like the Seth Morrison style. They only fogged when I wore a facemask or had the jacket sinched up to the nose, but every goggle does that. I have a smaller face and these were very comfortable. You won't be disappointed with these.
the sensor is the best all around lens you can buy. great for low and flat light conditions, and unless you are skiing on the surface of the sun they will work for bright days.
Great goggles for the money. Have not fogged up on me during heavy skiing days. Works pretty well in flat light conditions such as fog and clouds. I was surprised how well they worked on sunny days.
After 13 years of riding resorts and hiking backcountry I have used goggles from Spy, Dragon and Oakley. I stayed away from Smith (not sure why) until last year when another Oakley lens was ruined due to trying to wipe snow out after a fall. The worst thing on the hill is fog an lack of peripheral vision. A buddy of mine who gets flow from Smith lent me a pair of these to use for a day and on the way home I bought a pair. I used them for about 18 days before the season was over. They are so solid. They fit nice and close to your head (not like bulky Oakley and Spy) they never fog and you can clean the inside without ruining the fog protection unlike spy and oakley. The Dragons are the most similar but for the price of the Fuse, this will out live the others and give you some extra cash for a beer after the day is over.
Bought these goggles last season. I got em' in white adaption with the sensor mirror and they are dope as hell. The goggles are really flexy and durable so you don't have to worry about breakin these suckas. They never fog up so you don't have to worry about not being able to see halfway down your run. Overall, they're a sick pair of goggles that get lots of good feedback on the slopes, are comfy as hell, and keep your face and eyes free from harsh wind and snow,
I thought it was more mirrors, but the design and quality is very good. I am very pleased with these goggles. I recommend that the note that we are not as mirrors as shown in the photos. Greetings!
Dude, nobody is gonna care too much if you're stoned on the hill, saying that though make sure you are careful and not crashing into people or hurting yourself...and it's near impossible to check a chica's bod out when shes in all those layers of clothes so nobody is gonna notice where them lookers are looking anyway.
I bought a pair of these goggles four years ago and loved them for the price. This year the foam started pealing off the frames. I sent them into smiths warhouse and got a free replacement. When the vents are closed i can't even tell, they are so hard to fog. These are great goggles!
Got them for a steal on Tramdock! (White/Ignitor) Have worn them a few times on Sunny days and they work great. Extra yellow lens was included, which is a big plus for low light days, but luckily haven't had to use it yet. No trouble with fogging or anything like that...fogging is usually due to operator error IMHO (i.e. wearing a facemask and breathing into the goggle, or otherwise getting the inside of the lens wet). Fits well with my helmet.
The best goggles I have had.... both mine and my husbands' were great! It's like we didnt even have them on. IT was so bright and sunny and you were blinded by the snow without them. No issues what so ever.... never steamed up, kept the cold out... couldnt ask for better goggles.
I can't say that these have been the best goggle ever, but the medium size fits my face and I have no peripheral issues, I see as much as I need to while skiing. I am getting fogging issues now but they are over a 100 days old.
Great goggles, fit well with my Red helmet or with just a beanie. So far no fog issues, even on warm, sweaty days on the hill. Ignitor (rose) lens works well in various conditions, the gold lens is ok, not really worth the hassle of changing lenses. The adjustable venting actually works, and works well to shut out the cold on a 5 degree windy day or keep you cool on warmer days.
So yeah, the field of view is great considering they aren't spherical. And the Sensor lens is great for flat and low light. I have an older pair with the red mirrored lens which have worked well on blue bird days. But ugh, they fog much quicker than any of my A frames and it just annoys me that a helmet helper has to be used if you happen to wear a helmet larger than a small.
Probably. The ignitor isn't all that dark. If you use it in bright sunlight your eyes will most likely be visible. On the other hand, it's intended for flat light, so if you stick to that, then you can creep to your heart's content.
I have the Fuse and the Phenom Smith goggles. The fit is great, but the most important feature is the fact that they don't fog. There is a nice variety of lens options as well. They work well with a hat or helmet and the strap extender is a nice feature if you use a helmet.
Just got a pair today and don't get to use them until janurary but i'm stoked! i'll give some feed when i get back!!! whooohoooo, oh and i had to select a star rating so ill give it a five for now cause the look so sweet!
I really like Smith products and these goggles look nice and the lens is pretty crisp for vision - you also get a yellow replacement lens. The reason I give them 3 stars is fogging. Most of the time they don't fog, but if you ski a lot like I do put your goggles up on your hat when in the lift line, ect they will eventually fog. They only fog in small patches but the fog collects between the two lenses so there is not way to wipe it off or get rid of it! This is a real pain on snowy days when you need goggles to shield the snow and yet can't see so well. I am returning mine soon for a different pair.
There is nothing to complain about this is a great goggle for the price. You get the same mirror as high priced flat lensed goggles. There is NO FOG at all.
