Smartwool is amazing

I love Smartwool...I've done my best to convert my entire wardrobe, and this shirt has stood up to expectations. It's light enough to be worn in the 90 degree heat, but kept me from freezing when the temperature dropped to 50, the wind kicked up, and I was already sweaty.

I wish that the shirts were either slightly less expensive or less prone to snagging...it's a bit sad to tear a hole in a 60 or 70 dollar shirt (and all of my shirts have small holes in them, but we did quite a bit of hiking through vicious plants). I'll probably address the problem by buying another set of these to wear when I'm not on the trail and save the damaged ones for the woods.

The grey is basically as seen in the picture: nothing too exciting. I have the microweight v-neck in violet; it's quite a pretty color and it has a nice subtle pointelle pattern in it...I really like it.

Great buy!

This shirt is supersoft, very thin without being sheer, and nicely fitted. I've worn it as an extra layer in the mornings in the summer and love it. Haven't had it for winter hikes, but it has the potential to be a great baselayer. I'm 5'9", 170, 36C and the large is great. Bonus, the mineral color is lovely (not as neon as the picture makes it seem).
