I own multiple pairs of the Smokin' Buds and they sound great and have really good sound quality for the price! My only complaint is they don't fit in really small ears like mine very well.
It is true that they will eventually break/stop working, but when that happens, simply send them to Skullcandy and they will send you the most up to date pair for free with their Lifetime Warranty! You can't go wrong with that! Beware that if you smash them or something where it is your fault they broke you will only get %50 off your replacement pair from Skullcandy, but if they break on their own, Skullcandy will replace them for free!

The smokin buds really are a great choice for smartphones or mp3 players. I have a droid and a ipod and the buds work very well. on the phone I can mute with the in-line mic, with one click and in the ipod I can change the song with two clicks, pause with one click, and if i hold it down i am read options. The sound quality is really awesome when you consider I got them for around ten bucks. There are a few cons though, these are not good for running, because they fall out of my ear a bit. Also the mic isnt way awesome when it is windy, but then again what mic does well in wind right? Over all the buds are a great buy and I recomend them to anyone I think could use them.
