Sierra Designs Wu Hu 4 Tent 4-Person 3-Season - 2009

Sierra Designs Wu Hu 4 Tent 4-Person 3-Season - 2009 BCS

Item # SDS0388

The Sierra Designs Wu Hu 4-Person 3-Season Tent combines the spaciousness of a tunnel design with the easy use of a dome-style shelter. Thanks to both sleeve and clip pole attachments, this Sierra Designs tent goes up in seconds to get you and three of your friends out of the rain. Sierra Designs constructed most of the inner tent from mesh to allow plenty of ventilation on family camping trips, and the large vestibules provide extra storage for use in base camp.

Bottom Line:

easy setup, solid tent

I heard some bad wisconsin weather was going to be rolling through over the weekend so naturally i set up my new tent to see how she'd fare. Wu Hu vs. wind (50mph gusts) and driving rain? Wu Hu wins! I staked out the two guy lines on the side the wind was coming from and she held solid. I slept in the tent and stayed completely dry and comfortable. I love the mesh design, and the different configurations in which the fly can be opened. It has loops for a gear loft and the jake's foot pole/fly/footprint junction makes sure everything remains in place. I have used the tent in the field several times since then and setup and takedown already seem routine. It is a solid 4 person tent (sleeps 4 comfortably taboot!) and the price only makes the value more complete. If there was one thing I would change it would be the way the vestibules are tighened once staked. Eventually I just tied the adjustable paracord that kept slipping into loops and staked them out as normal. It worked fine after that. I would recommend this tent.
