I really wanted this jacket to work but i ran into a couple of issues.
I think the shell treatment is more than adequate for water-resistance however the lining made less of a breathable shell than i was looking for.
Also the pit zip and main zippers were very flimsy and difficult to open close all the way especially due to the awkward position of the pit openings.
And lastly, i agree the hood is a parachute. I look like a clown.
I tried medium and large (5'10/180#) and neither of them really fit well.
Great price on SAC <$40 but i returned it and got a north face venture and havent looked back.
Good idea by Sierra Designs but not one of their better shells.
