Salomon Czar Ski - 2008 BCS
Salomon created the Czar to do one thing—rule the mountain. With its rockered tip and full wood core, this ski reigns over unruly terrain and surprises you with agile handling for its length. Open it up in a choppy bowl, and watch the Czar’s long shovel scarf up crud like a fat kid at a pie-eating contest. Take it to hardpack, and Salomon’s stiff Monocoque construction helps you lay down solid arcs, at eyewatering speeds. Trees? Cut ‘em down. Cliffs? Stomp ‘em out. Pow? Float it. In fact, the only thing you probably can’t do with the Czar is slalom race on it. At least, we didn’t try. Fact is, if you’re seeking a pow ski that doesn’t overwhelm you with massive girth underfoot, and won’t leave you in a panic when the snow isn’t perfect, you’ll find the Czar truly worthy of its throne.
Bottom Line:
All hail the new king...er, Czar.
