Mountainsmith Bridger Backpack
holds way more than advertised.

Ok first off, under 60 bucks made this an easy purchase decision.
Bag came and tag says its over 5300 cubic inches, so I'm guessing the main compartment is 4000. That alone makes this pack an even better purchase. The material on the outside its durable and stitching looks uniform and strong. Packed about 40 pounds of gear for a weekend climbing trip and didn't have any issue carrying it around. compression straps keep the load held down well and the webbing gets an a+ for functionality.
The two side pockets hold and organize a good amount of extra Essentials. Zippers are very large and and have relatively easy access. Extra straps on the bottom will secure a tent and a sleeping pad no problem while the bottom of the bag fits even a larger sized sleeping bag well.
Shoulder straps are very very comfortable and completely adjustable. Waist belt works well for a 28+ inch waist too, very comfortable and plush. No belt pockets, but no biggie and I never ran out if places to put my gear anyway. Back panel is plush but doesn't vent terribly well, never felt too hot though.
Bottom line, this is a weekend to weeklong bag that'll hold up to some decent abuse (except sunglasses pouch, lol) and never leave you wondering where your gear is or if you'll have enough room for everything. Go SnC!
