I wasn't sure about these at first, but they've become my favorite summer commuting shorts. Chamois is comfortable, they're very lightweight and handle hot temps wonderfully (it's been in the 90s these past few days). I don't know how they'll perform in cooler weather, but for a summer short these are rock solid. Best part is the waist band. No drawstrings, no constriction, super comfortable. Definitely worth the $$. I'm a 34" waist and went medium - good fit but I could probably fit the L comfortably, too.
