Gear Review
beast of a knife
By bri3725793 March 12, 2010
Got this knife for a steal from SaC. First impressions: (1) this knife is too heavy for a backpacking trip, especially someone trying to go ultralight. (2) these Veff serrations are no joke, seriously nasty cutting power. (3) a bit heavy and a bit large for everyday carry.
Despite the weight and bulk, this is a great knife. Pretty good quality steel, solid locking power when open, and sharp with enough heft to do some damage. Also, this "outburst assisted open" is wicked cool. Check out the videos of it on youtube. Almost like a switchblade.
Overall, a very nice addition to any collection.
