I bought a NF mountain guide jacket about 15 years ago and still wear it every time I ski. I treated the outer layer with waterproofing and it still works great.

I have skied in waist deep powder with the vents open and no snow inside the jacket.

The only problem I had was some corrosion on the zippers because I was also wearing the jacket for saltwater fishing and the salt corroded the jacket. I called NF and they said they would fix or replace it for free. I have not mailed it out yet because I do not want to part with it!
