i was skeptical about the aggressive down-turn toe as i wanted a versatile pair for anything from single pitch sport, to slab, to micro-edge face climb, to cracks and multi-pitch... i climbed in the new rock wrench for 2 straight days and they required no breaking-in. right off the deck they perform well smearing, edging, thin crack jamming to high heel/toe hooking! wow. i'm in love.
the only drawback is sizing is way off for this particular style. i usually wear Five Ten women's size 9 but had to return the first pair and went up a whole full size to size 10 on this one. weird sizing. but awesome rubber, great arch support, good balance of sensitivity and all day comfort!!
