I am a 31-32" waist and the medium is a little snug. I might have liked L better, but maybe this will inspire me to lose that last 5 lbs. Otherwise worked fine in my first tri- comfortable under wetsuit for swim, pad okay for 15 mile bkie ride, never a concern on the run. Legs are a little short for my liking (I like shorts/bibs that hit the curve of the quads so they are anchored there instead of by sheer cuff squeeze (but the cuff was not bad)). Never had even a hint of chafing so I was happy about that. I think I will look for a tri suit, though, because I think I would like that better overall (I wear bibs cycling and prefer not having the waist squeeze). But overall a good product. (Incidentally- meant to give 4 stars and now it won't let me edit the star rating to fix my mistake.)
