Those tiny Italians..
By Neil Schott May 13, 2011
They're good, don't get me wrong. They have biking down.. along with wine, cool languages, romance, Mafia's, etc.. But they are about as far off on their sizing as they are with that tower in Pisa. I'm a 32 waist, so going by the sizing chart a medium would be the right bet.. but I got the large just because my other Castelli stuff runs small. Even the large size lets you know who your daddy is when you butter up and finally slide into these like a fat kid in abercrombie skinny jeans.
Once you get them on though, they are pretty sweet. Nice support and compression around the quads, and the padding makes the longer rides a little smoother. Got them on bonktown for a good price and they are definitely worth it. If you are thinking about pulling the trigger, you won't be disappointed, but think about sizing up before you do. Even with a 32 inch waist the x-large would fit, all depends on how much you want to make the motorists blush on their way by.
