Gear Review
So far so good!
By Heather June 5, 2010
I just bought this backpack for myself, I am 30 years old, female, 175 pounds. My Torso size is
17 1/2 inches long, so I was a bit worried at first when I pulled it out of the box. On first appraisal it looked a bit small, but this is my first backpack, so they probably all look that way when you first pull them out of the box. The pack comes with a nice instruction book that tells you how to adjust it to fit yourself. I didn't see this till later, so I took it in to REI and had them adjust it for me. Once it was adjusted, it fit great. The design of the back of the pack is really cool, literally. I just took it out on a 5 1/2 mile trial hike, and it performed well. My back stayed nice and cool, and I was comfortable the whole time. The only thing it doesn't have that I would have prefered is a seperated compartment for my sleeping bag, but I'll live. The price was well worth that small sacrifice, and it does have a front zipper access to the sleeping bag, so that worked out. Great pack and a good value!
