Gear Review
So Good!
By dan2822186 November 13, 2009
I've been looking around for some high quality ski pants for my mom's Christmas present, and these just arrived in the mail. I was looking for the highest waterproof rating with light insulation (for CO skiing in Summit County), for around $200. So I found these Oakley's, which just arrived in the mail. Now my mom hasn't gotten to use them in the snow yet, but I'm stoaked on the purchase. I'm surprised by the amount of 'critical fleece' which is Thinsulate in the entire rear AND crotch AND the whole front legs! All that fleece made these pants weigh a little more than I expected, but they're not too heavy to actively move around in. And the zippers seem so quality, fully taped seams, venting on outside and inside legs! SO GOOD! I - or my mom (since these are her's after Christmas) haven't tested out the waterproof, but 15K is high up there, so I'm not worried at all. Overall these pants have surpassed my expectations and are of top notch design and quality, and at a great price. Oh- I can't review the sizing yet, but maybe after Christmas when my mom gets them.
