Perfect Intro to High End Tri Bikes

By SHARJO1021985 October 27, 2011

I can't say enough about how much I love this bike. Bought one 2 months ago. This is the perfect intro to "expensive tri bikes" great price for a great platform.

The Blue Triad is stiff and responsive. The SRAM components are a dream, solid shifting every time.

My first event with the bike was a breeze, pounded the hills and sailed past the competition.

SET UP TIPS:

Be careful about cutting the seat mast. use the provided cutting guide. Measure a few times on your previous bike, then cut an inch or two higher and shave down to the right size. Use a dremel with a cutoff wheel and a sanding drum. Test ride after each cut.

Be sure the saddle mount in fully seated each test ride as well. If the saddle mount doesn't go on easily, lightly sand the inside of the main body of the mount and smear a drop or two of lube to wiggle it on and off.

You can switch the T2 aero bars our for T1's for more comfort, but the cables will have to be switched out as well.

I found that the internal cable routing makes the rear derailleur cable seem pretty short. Use a tandem bike cable for this if necessary.

Enjoy the ride!
