Bought these to replace some Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes on my Chumba VF2.
I got real tired of Avids because they were like switches either totally on or nothing. Initially these were silent and had lots of modulation but during the maiden ride they started behaving the same way, slight squealing and real grabby, maybe something in the dirt here..
Still they are better than the BB7s but I thought they'd be lighter as I only saved abt 60 grams swapping them out. Levers feel real good to the hand, the rotors were nothing to write home abt, basic no frills. Shortening the hoses was quite easy, still glad I got them.
