Sizes run large, I am usually a 36" waist (6 foot, 210lb) and the Large is big, I even tried on Medium at a store, it fit, but little tight it spots.
I cut out the liners and use them as shorts (they are hot with liner in).
I like zippered pockets and do no like velcro so I took the velcro off the cargo pocket.
I bought two pair, and one pair the elastic was stretched out or something. Luckily backcountry has a great return policy (no questions asked, but they ask why you are returning them so I picked MFG defect).
