Gear Review
Nice & Roomy
By Marko Koskenoja August 13, 2012
We added a 150lb Great Dane to our pack so we needed a larger tent than our 3 man Marmot Limelight that we use for backpacking. Having just come back from a trip in Lake Superior Park where we used the Alps Vertex4 I can attest to it's functionality and quality.
It is very roomy for a 4 man tent and the breath-ability was better than I would have though based on a few reviews I read. In 15C temps it was quite comfortable-not sweaty at all. It is also very light for a 4 man tent. The only problem was a small pull/tear in the mesh at one of the top vents-not worth sending back-I will put some tear tape on it.
