Nice Cotton, doesn't hold up

My wife got me this shirt on steepandcheap, but even that seems like too much money for this v-neck. It's very comfortable cotton that's a joy to put on, but it shrank significantly on the first dry (on low heat) and the neck got disfigured. After one wash it now has what Michael Jordan would refer to as "bacon neck" and is much more of a U-neck than a V-neck.
