Gear Review
Mountain hardware can do better.

I got a medium in this sweater and it was enormous. I am 5'11" and athletically built, and the fit was slouchy and completely the opposite of the techy fit I expect from MH. In all of their other pullovers that I own, a small is wayyyy to small, so this sweater was the exception. I wear a small in Patagonia, Marmot, and Stoic/BC.com, but normally a medium in Arc'teryx and MH.
The material is ok but not great. Less thick than I expected at the price and kind of course feeling wool. The collar does not stand up straight at all, but instead crimps inward towards your neck and makes you realize that there's no offsetting or zipper-cover protecting your thyroid cartilage from the cold metal zipper or the scratchy wool.
I returned this sweater, but am still a huge MH fan. Perhaps they should stick to the minimalist technical gear that they excel at.
