Lightest thing on the road...
By ran4094294 December 29, 2011
I've tried several pairs of shoes from Bonktown, and ended up with these in white. Yes, they are bright white, and the yellows might even seem more subtle to some. They fit the best for my feet. They are also the lightest shoe I've ever felt. Comfort is key and they might not work for your foot. When trying them on, the toe box is narrow, the heel seems to slip a tad, but when I'm on the bike, the toe box is just fine, and the heel doesn't slip one bit. My feet sweat like mad, and these help air them out. Do be warned, like others have said, you will second guess the color of socks you are wearing. They will shine through. However, if you have black socks on, the white shoes will not look as loud. (good thing for me) If only... if only, they had holes in the soles like my old Louis Garneaus. Only other comment I have about putting these on compared to others, the top strap is short and will need to be removed and slipped back and looped through with each time you put them on. It doesn't bother me, but probably not for those who want to use these for a Tri. I highly recommend at least trying these things out. With Dept of Goods'/Bonktown's return policy, it is worth the few bucks to ship them back in case they do not work for you.
