It was fine...until it broke

So I bought this watch to bring with me on deployment to Afghanistan. I didn't want to bring my nice Citizen watch to a sand ridden hell hole. Now I wish I had. This watch worked fine...until it broke. The band sheared itself from the face of the watch in the area of the cheap plastic fastiner. So now I am shopping for a new watch, after owning this one for less than four months.
