Initial Impressions

The Dukes are true royalty.
These just arrived today and they are, well, gorgeous. I'm a sucker for nice leather gloves, especially the natural tan color. The leather is soft and supple and the stitching is immaculate. The liners are a nice, soft fleece. I expect the gloves to pack out a bit, which will leave room for a pair of thin liners. Well done, Stoic. I expect these to be my go-to gloves on all but the coldest days.
I ordered in size L (tan) after experience with the Stoic Inbounds from a few years back. These seem to be a bit longer in the finger, but not too long. For comparison, I have a pair of size-9 Hestras that are too small, even though that's where I should be on the size chart. I don't have any of the flexibility issues that the previous reviewer has, but that could be due to any number of factors. They feel more supple than the Inbounds, which has been well-used.
If you see these on SAC, pick them up immediately. I'll report back on durability and warmth soon.

After a day on the hill in 20° temps and a few flurries, the gloves still rock. My thumbs got a bit chilled on the lifts, but not cold. I have room for a liner, so I expect to be ok down to 15° or so. Not bad for such a simple glove! You can tell that Stoic insulated the backs of the gloves more than the palms, as they should have. Thinner insulation on the palms leaves the gloves flexible for gripping poles or whatever else. The Scotchgard works well on the body of the glove to keep water out. It beads off - not as well as, say, the Bombshell fabric, but it didn't soak in. The palm reinforcements didn't shed water as well.
