Let me start out by saying I am a beginner with limited skating/longboarding experience. I am a snowboarder and was looking for some cheap transportation around the Twin Cities, so I picked this up. I will be returning it. As mentioned by the other reviewer, the bearings are crap. Although again I am a beginner, I don't feel like I should have to push nearly as hard and often as I do on this board. The spray-on grip tape used is also pretty atrocious. I've ridden this thing maybe 30 minutes total (if even that) and the spot over the front truck is worn smooth from pivoting my foot before and after pushing. The grain on the grip is such that it actually comes off when I was just getting a feel for it barefoot in my apartment.
The thing that really bothers me is the lack of quality control. Even single wheel is tightened differently. Upon hand spinning, one of the wheels does not spin more than a rotation and a half. On the other extreme, another wheel spins very freely, but it is actually a bit loose and I can actually get a 2-3 mm of displacement when I wiggle it. The other two are somewhere in between. I wouldn't mind too much if I had to loosen them or tighten them uniformly or even if I had to replace them entirely... but the fact that every single one is tightened differently makes me question the company's commitment to quality and attention to detail.
On the plus side, it looks cool.
Granted I could sand the whole thing down, reapply grip, then recalibrate the bearings or replace them entirely... but instead I'm going to return it. Even at the steeply discounted price I picked this up at, it's not worth the hassle.
