Great shell

After researching and trying on the 3-in-1 jackets offered by northface, I was disappointed by the this hoods that provided no warmth and the fact that the inner jackets didn't have hoods. I decided to make my own. I went with a hooded Denali jacket and started my search for an adequate shell. I live in Colorado and travel to New Jersey so I encounter all sorts of winter weather. After some very helpful online assistance from a backcountry rep, I chose the perilune. The hood provides wind and water protection and fits perfectly over the cozy Denali hood. The jackets zip together and apart very easily which is a must in CO as one day is snowy and freezing and the next could be 60 degrees and sunny. The perilune has vents under the arms and will serve well as a rain jacket as well. I feel I can use this coat every season. I have a smaller frame (5'7, size 4) but got a medium in both. This fits a little loosely but allows for layering without looking too bulky or shapeless. I am very happy with this combo!
