Great knife, not perfect

To not belabor the point, reveiw in bullets
+ great texture on the carbon scales. Was worried it was going to be slippery. It's not.
+Sharp but not scalpel sharp OOB. No big deal.
+Very well finished. Polish is impecable and F&F is perfect all the way around
+Perfect lockup, and early, so this blade and lock will probably outlast my usage
-shape of blade make pulling out of pocket a pain in the rear. I like to grab my knives (when using the pocket clip, and cliped onto my pants pocket or in the small of my back) by the edges and not the scales. The edges are tapered thinner toward the clip making that method near impossible. I have 6 knives and all work in this fashion, this one does not.
-San-Mei blade is a gimic and honestly not a useful feature. I don't see anyone bending the blade so much that a softer steel would make the blade any tougher. I have full VG-10 blades and have used for years, razor sharp and look great. Its neat to say you have a san-mei blade, but in practice, like damascus, it adds no vaule in the job of cutting.
-heavy for its size, but not a tank. I have a comparible Kershaw with Polished G-10 scales, titanium liners and clip, and an ATS-34 blade and its easily 1/2 the weight. This knife's weight is comparible to an aluminum/steel handle'ed knife of a bit larger size. Guessing the nickel/Silver bolsters are adding a bit of weight.
Overall, highly recomeneded with just a few quibbles.
Last thing, this is not an assisted opener. The spring is only for the arc-lock and not for the blade openeing mechanism. Just a typo on the product description
