Royal Robbins Cabin Denim - Men's
Great hiking pant.

Be warned, these run big in the waist. I usually wear a 34W but had to size down to a 32W in these. I also have a pair of Royal Robbins Billy Goat pants and wear the 34W in those, so I think the sizing issue is just the Cabin Denim cut. I now own two of these Cabin Denim pants of differing colors. They are basically a very light softshell: DWR coating, wind-resistant--if not wind proof (I could not blow through the material), and nice soft interior just like many softshell jackets. These do not offer much insulation, so on colder days use of a appropriate weight base layer will be required. These have become my favorite hiking pants.
