Great boots

By dva4148679 September 19, 2011

I order these the other day and I am super excited to get to shred with these babies. They are particularly comfortable, average weight and have pretty cool visuals. The walk/ski switch could be a little more bomb proof but I suspect that it won't be an issue in the performance of the boot itself. I like the idea of having the shell laced, I suspect this will provide better stability and better transfer of energy from your muscles to the boot to the ski etc. The 3-strap system is interesting and I dont see any real problem with the boot have only three straps. The boot also has a power stap that can be adjusted for those who have those burly calves. It offers two different widths for different sized calves. The boot could have a little less forward lean (its a flex 90), but this just makes skinning more comfortable with a slight sacrifice of power transfer.

Overall a great looking boot and well worth the $209 its being sold for.

Sizing: I wear around a size 8 street shoe and opted for the 25.5 size. Its a snug fit, but not uncomfortable, just about right with a medium thin ski sock. I suspect once I fire the liners that the fit will improve.
