Gear Review
Great backcountry/freeriding boot.
By Andrew September 29, 2011
I've been shredding in these boot about a month.
It's light, fits good and very comfy. The inside boot cannot be heated to make a unique fit to your foot. This boot works perfect for backcountry shreding, are stiff enough to do some casual racing and also work in the park. BUT I've manly been using these in the park and after some intense days railing/jumping my legs got enough and started killing me. I would not recommend this boots if you're mainly shredding park. Boots are for freeriding and can also handle the park if you're dropping by, but not more. Of course, I had some pretty tough landings through out the month I tested them, but the pain quickly came back, even after taking a long breaks. I'll still try them this upcoming season, but with accessories to protect my legs better, Shintronics/boosterstraps. I really liked riding in them, so don't want to get rid of them, unless my legs can't handle them. When that is said, the boot is kind of wide on the top and the reason for my pain may also be that they didn't fit around my legs tight enough, so it kept slamming back and forth. May fit users with bigger legs better. But I still believe that there are better boots for park riding than these.
