Good quality, good price

Don't get your rain jacket anywhere but Backcountry. There customer service has been amazing, not to mention the price. Use LiveChat if you have questions, as I did.
I wasn't sure whether to get the resolve or venture jacket. The rep said that the resolve has a mesh lining, whereas the venture has no lining--so if you want an extra layer to lift the waterproof material away from your skin, go with the resolve. Also, the resolve seems to be more fitted than the venture, which I liked. It's also much less expensive, and still does the same job.
Only detail it's missing as compared with the venture are "pit-zips," which I would probably never use. This jacket also doesn't have velcro at the cuffs, which to me is a perk, as velcro gets caught in my curly hair. As to sizing, I am 5'3" and 115lbs, and I ordered both the small and the XS. Both fit. The small gives me just a bit more room at the waist and hips to fit a sweatshirt underneath, for cooler weather, while still not looking huge. Backcountry is even letting me return the XS for free!
Only downside, for me, is the collar. Would prefer a hood that's integrated with the jacket, as the collar is a bit stiff and seems unnecessary. Can't imagine a situation in which I will actually roll up and stow away the hood. But whatever.
