These bibs are very solid (especially at Bonktown prices). As others have mentioned there is stitching on the inner thigh... but it's never bothered me in the slightest. Had I not seen it, I wouldn't know it was there. The chamois is fairly good, it keeps me fairly comfortable on 40-50 mile rides.
Regarding the sizing: I would go up one size unless you are on the lower end of a size (ie. a 30 waist would do just fine in a Castelli medium).
