I don't know where all the hate is coming from about this product. I bought these earbuds for 13 bucks on department of goods. They sound pretty good, especially as far as earbuds go. I haven't used them while doing anything outdoors like running or skiing, but in the office they are holding up just fine.
Just a note on the "braided" factor. These headphones have a braided option, meaning you have to order the ones that say "braided" in with the color description. It would be wise for backcountry to remove braided from the material section as it's really only on certain models of this earbud. I like the idea of a stronger braided cord, but if you don't sit still feedback can be heard through the braided cable, so keep that in mind when choosing your model.
