I learned a few things about this bag when it landed on my doorstep. Due to EU fill ratings (Lorch test), this bag is comparable to 850+ bags sold here in the US. Bonus! The lower rating of the base fill allows for better insulation under the compression of your body, and Rab still kept the weight under a kilo. Their listed weight on the tag is 950g. There was a little confusion between the tag and the info on this site, but the folks at backcountry.com really stepped up and reinforced my faith in their customer service – simply the best. The pertex endurance on top has a slightly crunchy sound to it, warming the soul of anyone ever caught with a wet down bag. This bag is perfect for a bivy as it should repel any condensation that may form inside, and the short zipper kills weight and bulk. I'm 6' and I can draw the hood around my face with my toes pointed at the bottom. My only disappointment is the storage sack size, but if you really care about fluffy storage you'll hang it anyway. I'm really happy with the build quality (hand stuffed in the UK) and I'll update here if I find any problems in the field.
