Fantastic Jacket--Just What I was Looking For
By mja4458692 January 10, 2012
I can't comment on how well this jacket performs while skiing as I haven't used it yet thanks to the lack of snow, however, I have no doubts with all the features that it will do very well. My comments are on the fit and overall quality. LOVE this jacket! I wanted something that had just a little insulation that I could layer as needed based on conditions. Shells tend to leave me wanting just a bit more when I wear them on non-ski days. This jacket has larger sleeves and ample room in the body to allow for various layering options (I have already tried it in different configurations as a test.) I can wear a base with a down sweater, a base with a t-neck and a fleece, just a base-you get the gist-and still have plenty of room to move. It's long enough to cover the back well but not too long, and has just enough taper in the waste to appear a bit feminine.
I will say that it does run a bit generous in size, so if you are between sizes you might consider ordering down vs. up. I'm 5'5" 125 and ordered a medium and it's almost too big.
The only downside? It needs to come in more fun colors!! And thumb loops would be nice, too.
