Gear Review
Excellent mid insulation garment.
By Michael Lindsley December 4, 2011
This is going to be a very popular choice for those whom are looking for an excellent mid insulation choice. It features 850 fill down, giving it a higher rating than offerings by competitors Patagonia and Mountain Hardwear, and weighs in at a svelte 18 ounces, based off of the size large. I also like the fact that they utilize Pertex material in the face fabric, as it is highly abrasion resistant.

I agree...I just returned from a 3 day trip..I have a couple of down products I use for backpacking but I think this will now be my go to piece unless the temps really plummet. I like the cuffed sleeves, which help keep the draft out and dig the look of this down cardigan. I researched several other pieces in the ultra light range but just cant justify the cost. This comes in at 7oz for a large, with a pocket. everything else I found that was as light or lighter had no pockets and cost 2-3 times as much! lol AND Stoic offers a lifetime guarantee! This choice was a no brainer for me!
